Box of Sunshine

I have a sweet friend that made me feel so very loved. I posted on Facebook a couple weeks ago about losing pregnancy #8 a few days before Matthew's Eagle Court of Honor. I listened to a podcast about being open so that you can help others, so because of that, I opened up about my recent struggles. The first time I had a miscarriage I felt like I was the ONLY person that had had one and felt so alone. I don't want others around me to have the feeling so I opened up about it. I will post about that later but I have a friend from TX that now lives in MD. She was SOOOOO sweet and sent me this box full of sunshine. It made me feel SOO loved. I cried to know that someone thought of me enough to go through the effort of getting all of this together and then mailing it to me. I am so thankful that I have met people in my life that make me feel special and loved. Dadra if you are reading this, you are amazing. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!

Commission!

Not sure if commission is the right word for it, but a lady in my word that bought like 5 different names from Matthew and I asked if I would be able to do a saying. I wasn't sure about it. I had never done anything like it before but I think I figured it out. It seemed like a daunting order but I think it turned out ok. So the saying was one I had never heard and that is why it was completely costume made. Apparently this lady has a co-worker that had a brother that passed away. He used to always say Wiggle Your Toes and Blow Some Bubbles, so my friend asked if I could make that.
Here is what I came up with....

Donnie & Carol Taylor 50th Anniversary Present

This couple right here is amazing. They are so very sweet and have just taken us under their wing, especially our children. They have a grandson, Luke that is only a couple months older than Matthew and they are in the same grade and school. Then their oldest granddaughter is Allison's age, and then their other granddaughter is Michelle's age....and also a redhead!
The very first week we were in this ward, they have just been the grandparents. Matthew had them as his primary teachers were he was 6/7 and then he had Carol speak at his baptism and then Matthew has had them as their primary teachers two other times than that. They are just the sweetest.

They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary!!! They don't look old enough to be married for 50 years!! Their two children had a surprise 50th celebration for them but we only found out a couple days in advance and I wasn't able to get this done in time so we just went and celebrated with them and then I was able to figure out exactly what I wanted to do. They got sealed in the Washington D.C. Temple so I made that Temple on top at then their name and date at the bottom. I have never done anything like this before so it was fun to make something new.

Where do I start?

I haven't blogged in so long and there is so much to catch up on, where do I even begin?
I guess for right now, I will start with I am trying to be better at getting things done. I was getting really overwhelmed with just EVERYTHING that I had to do. I talked to Chris and he helped me prioritize but just basically, I don't have to get big projects done all at once. When I am making something for someone for Christmas or something, I don't need to spend SOO much time to get it all done when it is better to just do an hours worth of work that day or a phase or something so that other things don't get pushed back. I have been making a list of things I need to do every day and even putting a time limit on some things, and it has helped me SOOO much. If it doesn't go on my list, it doesn't get done. Can you tell that blog was on my list? HAHAHAHA, yep, doesn't get done until it is on my list.
I am hoping to update the blog more so stay turned. *fingers crossed*
