YEA!!!!

I am jumping for joy!! Some of you may not know that I am the Primary Chorister and I love it since I love to sing. As the primary chorister you have to get the kids to learn all the words to the songs you are singing for the annual primary program in sacrament. Last Sunday when we practiced in the chapel I was just gearing myself up for a disaster because they didn't seem to know the words last Sunday, and that was nobody's fault but my own. Anyways, yesterday's practiced seemed to go really well but I didn't want to get my hopes up.
Last night Chris got sick so then that put a new stress on me trying to find someone that wanted to watch my kids during Sacrament while I was doing the program. I convinced Jon and Carlene Ivy to sit with me since Chris wasn't with us and have Allison get used to them, before I left. I was surprised that I never even heard Allison during the program because she is usually so loud when she is with us. I will have to figure out how they did it.
I was a nervous wreck and shaking before the program started. The kids did so well saying their parts and singing the songs. They were loud and you could tell they knew most of the words. There was only one song during the second verse that I could hear one of the teachers a little louder then the kids because they weren't quite as confident I guess. It was a good thing they had the teachers though, I am sure it wouldn't have been so good had they not heard their teachers singing. I was glad I didn't mess up the words or the signing that we did on Teach Me To Walk in The Light. I did have a tendency to do that especially if one of the kids was singing the wrong words really loud, I would get distracted with them and forget where I was mess up. I was really worried that would happen again.
Everything went great though and the kids sang loud and strong.
Now I just have to try to nurse Chris back to health and try to keep the rest of our family from getting it but that may not happen.

Sweethearts

I just love these little cuties. They (mostly Matthew when he doesn't get a nap) can really be stinkers sometimes that frustrates me but most of the time lately I have just loved being with my sweethearts. Matthew is a good big brother but sometimes likes to sit, lay, or hold her back by one leg. He really likes to hug her and give her kisses. He gets so excited when Allison wakes up. They love chasing each other around laughing which brings such a smile to me. Allison just adores her big brother.

I got Allison in for her 1 year check-up a week after she turned 1, I just haven't ever posted them. Just in case I lose my little paper that has his information on it before I actually get it scrapbooked, I am posting it here.

Height: 31 in.
Head: 46 1/2 cm.
Dr. said she was 75% for weight and 95% for height.

Allison loves carrying around the bucket of blocks and giving them to people until she is all out and then she sticks her hand out so that you will give them back to her and the process starts all over again. She sure is sweet with sharing. She is always giving us things. She is so precious!!!

Texas A&M Volleyball

One day while sitting in my History class, I noticed on the chalkboard that it said there was an Aggie Volleyball game at home on Saturday. Chris would go with me to watch them if we didn't have kids...but we do so I either go by myself or find someone else to go with me. I decided to take my buddy with me. He just loved it. I packed his backpack full of snacks and cars and drinks. However, we had to get popcorn while we were there. He loved every bit of it. I even let him use the camera and take pictures. It was so fun to have a little buddy to go with and it was fun just having it be Matthew and I time where we could just enjoy ourselves. When we first walked in a small Aggie band was playing and Matthew immediately covered his ears because it was too loud. However, he got used to it and liked when the band played. He would even get up and dance and during one of the time-outs when the band was playing he was standing up dancing and the next thing I knew, he (we) were up on the big screen, up with the score board. I didn't care to be up there but he sure liked it. He kept dancing and waving and the camera stayed on him (us, unfortunately) for a good couple of minutes.
Of course, the Aggies won so that made it even better. Aggie Volleyball has a really good team and they win most of their games. Watching good volleyball definitely makes we want to go get back on a coed parks and recreation power league Volleyball team. Matthew and I will definitely have to do that again.

Family Ice Cream Time

We are finally getting some cooler weather so we decided to go get some McDonald's ice cream cones (which are one of my favorite ice creams cones) and play on the playground. Not much to say except that we enjoyed being a family.

(Then again, who doesn't?)

It was so nice to just let Allison run around and be free.

Anxiety!!!!

I am hoping that if I write about this it will relieve some of my anxiety. I have my first Child Development Psychology test tomorrow that covers 7 chapters and each chapter has at least 50 pages in it from the book. One would think this should be a breeze since I have kids but that just puts more pressure on me. I may have a slight advantage but it also doesn't allow me to concentrate and study as much as all the others in the class so I am not sure which is better. I am totally stressed out, and just want to scream. Thankfully my wonderful friend took Matthew for me all morning yesterday so I could go through my notes and make a study guide for myself. It helped me so much!!! I was really surprised how demanding it is having Matthew here. Allison took at nap for 2.5 hours while I studied but even when she woke up and I just had her I was still able to study. Thank you SO much Brittany!!! There is just so much to remember and I will be better once it is over and not having to think about that one anymore but then when I get home tomorrow night I get to start studying for my History test that is next Wednesday. On top of that, Chris isn't getting much work done on his research because he has to take care of the kids so much. I need to figure something out or I think Chris and I may both break. We will definitely stress to our kids to get their degree before having children. It would have been so much easier to get my degree before we had kids. What was I thinking? I am going to have to make some changes to get through this.
