Enrichment

Apparently at our monthly ward Enrichment nights they have started a new little drawing. If your birthday is in that month then your name goes in the drawing to take home a cake to celebrate the month of your birthday. Since I work on the night of Enrichment I hadn't ever heard of this happening. Well, somehow word got out that I just finished a cake decorating class and I guess they thought that I needed to feel apart of Enrichment so they asked me to decorate a cake for the drawing. Now there were two other ladies that were in the same cake decorating class that were so much better then I but they usually get to go to Enrichment so I guess it was to make me feel included, even though they would have done a better job. Anyways, this is the cake that I decorated. The funny thing is, if I would have gone this month I could have possibly brought home my own cake.

Chris and Matthew

It has been so nice having Chris around for the last month. He has helped out SO much I am actually worried about what will happen when he starts school on Monday. I haven't been feeling good lately and so he has gotten the opportunity to spend extra time with Matthew. I don't know which one of us will have the biggest rude awakening. Chris-because he has to go to school and teach and get back into that routine, Matthew-not having his daddy's full attention, or not even getting to see his daddy some days or me-I have to start cooking, cleaning, taking care of Matthew and everything that a stay-at-home mom does. The other day, Matthew was looking for Chris and couldn't find him because Chris was just in the shower and Matthew just had a meltdown because he couldn't find his daddy. I will probably have a couple meltdowns the first week realizing I have to do all the day stuff by myself. Matthew and I love having Chris home.

Our Cute Little Boy

Matthew likes getting in the laundry baskets but I hadn't ever seen him get in his stuffed animal tub. He just fit so perfectly and almosts just blends in. Matthew got this cute outfit from my friend Allison's mom and dad as a thank you gift. It fits him well and it goes pretty good with his hair also. Thanks Pam!

Help Me!!

During this Christmas break Chris and I cleaned out our garage. Chris went inside for a second and I was sweeping out the dirt and leaves in the garage and I started hearing Matthew wimpering. I looked and saw him and it was too good of a photo opportunity to get him out right away so I ran inside and grabbed the camera real quick. He wasn't very happy to be in there and not be able to get out. I believe he threw his little Santa in there and it was just trying to get it out but went in too far. I took a couple pictures and then he started thinking it was kind of fun so at least he is smiling in the last picture.
