Matthew's 13 Year Old Photoshoot

I have had it on my list every day for the past 2 weeks to get pictures of Matthew at the age of 13. As we were trying to decide what he should wear, I suggested that he wear his scout uniform since that has been so much of what has happened around his 13th birthday and hopefully he will pass his Eagle Board of Review this summer. He has to wait until at least the end of July to have his EBOR because you have to be a life scout for six months.
He is very much like his dad and hates getting his picture taken, and also has sensitive eyes, but we got some pictures of him at the age of 13 so it all worked.

Mother's Day Girls

The girls got these matching dresses for Easter, but they changed too quickly before I could get a picture. Today I finally got a picture of them in their matching dresses.

I also did their hair the same, Dutch braid with flower.

Another Baseball Game

This past Wednesday, it was RVA (Richmond Virginia) day at the diamond.
I guess that means that people stop working and just come to the baseball game this day. The game started at noon! A friend of ours said that her work would be able to get us tickets for whomever wanted to go so I got two for Michelle and I.
Thankfully our friends sat in the shade so I was happy about that. Michelle didn't seem too interested in the game, but I did let her bring some toys so she liked that.

Clearly still not impressed.

Too loud, apparently.

The funny thing about this is that when the kids got home from school, she was telling them all about her getting to go with me and watching a baseball game and they threw the ball, and hit the ball. It sounded like she had more fun than these pictures, or even her response was at the game.

Scout Night at the Diamond

The older kids and I went to Scout Night at the Diamond again last night.
We could have camped on the outfield like we did last year but we didn't have the best experience last year, AND Matthew doesn't HAVE to have that camping night so we just went to the game and then came home and slept in our beds!
There was a home run, right at the very beginning of the game. I was like all shocked and said, "WOW, a homerun right off the bat."
Matthew said, "literally". Hahahahaha
There were so many more hits and foul balls this game then there was last year. I think there were more hits in the first inning of this game then the whole game last year.
There were a lot of foul balls and we almost got hit by two of them. You really have to be paying attention of you could get hit.

We have a tracfone that we let the kids use sometimes depending on if they are going somewhere it may be needed. Anyways, we brought it in case they went down the stairs for something and I stayed up keeping our seats. Sometimes Matthew was bored and would send me a text....even though I was sitting right next to him.

One of his texts said

"I luv u"

He also asked to borrow my phone for a little while.
I finally let him and he wrote me this note.

"Dear Mom,

Just thought I might show love to you even if I don't always show it.

Love,
Matthew"

See? He is different and I LOVE it!!!

Michelle's 4 yr old Photoshoot

I have been slacking on the blogging lately but since I just took these I will get these posted.
I am only 2 months late, but I finally did Michelle's 4 yr old photoshoot.

She did not like being in the sun.

The hair!

There was a waterfall in the background but you can't see it very well.

Fine, we are done with the sun pictures....head back to the shade and the chair:)

I just had to take pictures of those beautiful natural curls!!

She is SOOO super sweet and cracks me up all the time.
She is my little buddy and I love her to pieces!
