32 Week Appointment & Ultrasound!

When we scheduled this ultrasound it seemed SOO far away. That was 8 weeks ago. There was still Christmas and New Years and my birthday that I had to get through before I got to see my baby again. However, each day came and went and it was finally the day to have my ultrasound.
I normally LOVE having my kids home for a snow day. One of the many reasons why I love being a stay-at-home mom. However, Tuesday morning, I got the phone call that said school would have a two-hour delay because of the snow (dusting) that we received. The problem was that their school would now start at 9:40 and my appointment was at 9:30. Then shortly before I was going to leave for my appointment the district called and said there was no school at all. Since I was having an ultrasound, I thought it would be fun to have the kids come and "see" their little sister again.
So they got to come and enjoy the waiting of two appointments.
Everything looks great!! She has gone from 23% to 44% and they said that she weighs 4.5 lbs right now!! It was REALLY fun when they did the 4D ultrasound, sadly she was squished up against me with her knees right up to her face but we got to see a little bit of her and she is SOOOO cute!! She is oblong in me right now, head is my upper left side but the dr isn't concerned since we are having a c-section anyways.
Everything is right on target with blood pressure, weight gain, baby's heart beat and anything else they checked or tested:)
Happy Day!!

Week 30 Appointment

I am kind of liking that I now have appointments every two weeks. It makes it go by a little faster I think. I gained 5 pounds in two weeks, which I don't think is great, but I finished off my Christmas candy so that is probably why I gained so much in two weeks. HOWEVER, Dr. Tozer said my weight gain total is in the normal range. I have now gained 12 pounds. I feel like I have gained A WHOLE LOT MORE!!
My goal is to not gain more than 10 more pounds....we will see how that goes. I gained 50 pounds with Matthew, not quite sure with Allison but it was at least 40+.
In Texas, I never had to do a urine sample at every dr. appt but here I sure do.
(Sidenote: this baby is just moving and grooving as I sit here and type this. I think her morning is about 10pm. It will be a hard adjustment for both of us when she comes getting her on our schedule but it is just so weird to see my belly moving around)
Anyways, back to typing and not watching my belly. It was a pretty quick appointment. The dr actually said that I am measuring at 30 weeks now. Maybe that means my baby has grown. The last couple appointments it has always been a week or two behind so I was surprised when she said 30 weeks. Everything seems to be looking good. I still have my ultrasound on Jan. 27th, which I are really looking forward to.
Dr. Tozer got her nurse to call the hospital and schedule my c-section.
This baby is going to have a birth day of March 16th....or sooner, but definitely not later:)
I have to go in the Friday before for them to do blood work and stuff I guess and then my appointment is scheduled for Monday, March 16th at 8am. Chris and I have to be there by 6AM!!!
I am kind of beyond excited and yet it all seems so surreal to me.
Just watching this baby move around inside me almost seems too good to be true. It is like I have never been pregnant before, or had a baby before, but it really does feel like this is the first time. I didn't have any fear with Matthew or Allison but I am still a little fearful that this won't happen, like I said, feels surreal. However, I have faith that our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and it is his will, what will happen to our family. We sure would like for his will to be that we get to have this baby in 57 days. Can you believe it? 57 days, that makes me SOO excited!!!
I am getting pretty uncomfortable. I go from the bed to the couch back to the bed, at night because of different things that hurt but I also think, in 57 days it will be a baby keeping me up instead of my hips and joints. Babies are hard, so I also need to enjoy this time as well.
57 days!!!

Just My Kids and I

We had lots of time to relax and watch Christmas movies throughout December.
I just love these two. My love has grown exponentially since being pregnant, which is really fun.
Love my kiddos!!

Allison's Class

Allison's class had a winter party. They don't call them Christmas parties like they did when I grew up. We brought presents and exchanged them back in the day. This day it was just a party. I came a little early and joined them while Mrs. Johnakin read The Polar Express with them.
It surprises me and almost makes me sad how much some of these kids, that I don't even really know just CLING to me, as if any attention is the best thing in the world to them. Makes me sad that maybe they don't get that at home.
Anyways, Allison was still a little weak from being sick earlier in the weak, but since I was putting on the party, I kind of felt like I had to be there. I am glad that I was, I love seeing the interactions with my kids and their friends and classmates. I just adore my kids.

Christmas Teacher Gifts

Here are some of the gifts that we gave their school and church teachers.
The best thing about these gifts is I already had most of the crafty stuff on-hand.
Here are socks that look like cupcakes.
I saw this saying and put it on it:
This cupcake is not to eat,
it was “baked” with love,
to warm your feet.
I got this idea off of pinterest:
It was fun and super easy to make them.

We also make Candy Sleighs like this:
Cute candy cane sleigh with Kit Kat bar and mini Hershey bars!

Another thing we made were "Christmas Lights"
Almond M&M and Mike and Ike Christmas Lights - Great to decorate cakes or cupcakes.

Here is another idea I got from pinterest that the kids help me make.
Matthew actually was a big helper with these. I am sure Allison would have been helpful too if she wasn't sick when we did it.
From Pinterest I went to this site:
From there, I went to this address to get the step by step:
