Early Morning

Right now there is a three hour difference between VA and AZ.
Because of when people and home and dinner and such our kids did not get to go to bed until 9pm, AZ time. We had to wake our kids up that morning to leave for the airport at 6am, VA time so them going to bed at 9pm AZ is actually MIDNIGHT in Virginia. Our kids NEVER stay up that late, and you could tell too. There were many meltdowns, which I guess is to be expected. Poor kids. They usually go to bed at 7 and 7:30 VA time. They were exhausted....
HOWEVER, they still woke up when the sun rose, but that was actually sleeping in for them because they woke up at 8am VA time, which would have been really impressive considering they usually wake up at 7 when we are home. But waking up at 8am VA time is 5am AZ time!!! They were up and not going back to sleep. Since I stayed up late talking and playing games with Ty and Katie, 5am was WAY too early for me. Nobody else was up either so I just took the kids downstairs and figured out all the different buttons to let them watch a movie, quietly.
 

I had hoped to go back to sleep while they were watching but that didn't work.

Airplane Fun

We flew to AZ to visit Grandma and Grandpa Thomas. While we were waiting, Allison and I were having fun with the camera.

We had two flights.
One was an hour and 15mins in the air and the other was 3 hours. We brought the ipods along to keep them entertained.
Yep, it worked:)
These headphones are actually Allisons. They were on her school supply list so I had to pull them out of her backpack before we left.
Since when did earphones get put on the school supply list?

I Love Doing Hair

As I have said in other posts, I like doing hair. Allison doesn't necessarily like when I do her hair but she likes when I play with it, which I guess means when I am not actually fixing it to look good, just running my hands through her hair.
I finally was brave enough to do the x on Allison. She is more wiggly and cries so much more then my niece but I got it done.
 

 

 

Then one day, I attempted an A in her hair for Allison. Afterwards I realized that the cross needs to go up higher on the head but hair, it was my first time and she LOVED showing off her A to everybody that would listen that day.

 

And then this is when I take these braids out:)

 

Elaina's Baptism

This is the baptism that I was prompted to leave early and helped make the decisions to which roads to take in order to make it to this baptism. We were so grateful to only be 10 minutes late, but thankfully, in-time.

Virginia Aviation Museum

The Virginia Aviation Museum is really close to the airport and we have seen it a couple times. We even had some coupons to go to it so one Saturday after all the chores were done we got to go visit it.
