Unforgettable Friends

One of the best things about living in a college town is that you get to meet so many wonderful people. However, the worse part is when those wonderful people move away. I have been fortunate enough to get to know one of the most amazing families. They moved into our ward during their oldest daughters first year and she and Matthew are only 3 months apart. Then our second children are only 3 weeks apart.
Janine and Cory Toole are such an awesome couple and they have the prettiest girls and I love taking pictures of their family. I have always looked up to Janine and then I got privileged enough to have her be my visiting teaching companion which was SO wonderful. I loved when my kids were around theirs because their children are such great examples (though I am sure they didn't like the example of our children).
Cory got a job based out of Austin and they put their house up for sale. Seven months later we put our house on the market and I definitely did not want our house to sale before theirs, but unfortunately a week later I had to call her up and give her the bad news. We definitely were not expecting it to be that quick. A few months later they finally got a buyer and unfortunately that meant they really were moving. It was a very sad but happy for them situation. I had the privilege of watching the older girls while Janine would do moving stuff and the kids had fun. Here are pictures of our little adventure in the courtyard at our apartment complex.

My sweetiepie

Matthew saw this flower fall off of the tree, he ran over and picked it up and then went to Anabelle and said, can I put this in your hair?

This just melts my heart seeing Matthew putting this flower in her hair, all on his own initiative.
This picture is priceless to me as his mom.

They are cute friends.

He then decided that they other girls needed flowers in their hair also.

I love her smiles.

My wonderful friend Janine and I. She and her family are definitely missed in our ward and among all her friends.
I love you Janine!!

End of Preschool Picnic

Matthew went to Carver Preschool last year. It was every day from 8-11am. It was a very good adjustment for me and he really enjoyed it. He had some great teachers: Mrs. Dockery and Mrs. Lopez. I got to go in once a week and read to individual students all year so they kids and teachers knew me. It was a fun experience and will help when I send him to Kindergarten.
At the end of the year they had a picnic for all the families and we took some pictures with Matthew's teachers.

Mrs. Dockery is in the blue and Mrs. Lopez is in the white.

Here are some pictures of us at the picnic:
