Michelle's Baby Blessing Day

June 28, 2015 was the day of Michelle's baby blessing.

Chris' dad was able to come in June so that is why we did the baby blessing then. He was the only one that was able to be here for it.

Michelle is three months old.

Our newly "adopted" grandma, Debbie Dalton, gave me this white dress at my baby shower so it got to be Michelle's baby blessing dress.

Chris actually wore a suit to church. Only on very rare SPECIAL occasions does he wear a suit.

The rest of the family looks good but I am so big.

HAPPY BLESSING DAY!!

Under Contract

Our buyers accepted our counter offer of paying $4500 of the closing costs. It seems a bit silly but the price of the house went up $4500 and now we are paying $9000 in closing costs. Do you get that? Comes out the same for us, better for the realtors, but they don't have to come up with any of the closing costs. It is a win/win situation for everybody.

Our realtor has been sending us houses on the market so we narrowed them down to 8 that we wanted to go see. Since two of them just went under contract and other reasons we only looked at 5 but really liked 1. We put in an offer and we have kind of agreed on a contract. They don't like our contingency of having to sell our current house so their house is still on the market and could possibly accept another offer but they have to give us 48 hours to come up with a way to not have a contingency anymore. Our closing on that house is Aug. 19th. We really like it but I don't want to get my hopes up in case it gets taken out from under us.

As of right now, we are selling stuff and boxing other things up.

Father's Day 2015

Isn't it ironic that on Mothers and Fathers Day we try to give them a "break" from being a mother or father?

We have a tradition in our house that I get Chris a shrimp cocktail ring and also I make him brownies with peanut butter frosting. 

(I used to be a chocolate cake but one time I made brownies and Chris decided he likes brownies best) 

This year I think I saw this or something like it on Pinterest and it fit Chris so well.

Sadly we ate all of this entirely way too quickly for our own good.

I was able to convince Chris to take a picture with Michelle and then with all the kids.

Swimming Baby

We didn't go to the pool nearly as much as I thought we would but then again, I was either packing boxes, loading a POD, or unpacking boxes....with a newborn. I didn't want her in the sun too much so all of those reasons combined means not a lot of pool time.

I think they kids missed it more than I.

There is always so much to do at home whereas being at the pool, I feel lazy and just thinking about all the stuff I could get done if I were home.

However, we did make it to the pool a few times and remembered that I had my little camera in the bag to snap a few pictures.

House on the Market!!

Well our house is on the market:

The pictures look great and make ME want to buy this house.

Our realtor came over on Thursday, June 11, 2015 and took all the pictures (all 253 pictures). She is only able to put 24 in the listing.

It got put up on MLS on Friday. We had our first showing on Saturday at 12:30 so we just went to the park for a half hour and it was 90+ degrees. It was HOT out there. Then we had another showing at 3pm that afternoon.

For the second showing we went to Sweet Frog for a little celebration that school is out. While there our realtor called us and told us that she was told that the first people were putting in an offer that afternoon.

They offered us the full amount BUT we were to pay their $11,000+ in closing costs. We tried to counter and the guy said no. We tried another counter and nobody heard from the buyer again. Finally Tuesday morning we just decided to move on. We had a showing today at 5:30 and one at 6:30. The 5:30 sent over an offer. They want to pay full price but us pay $9000 in closing costs and the appliances.

It is a decent offer. We are going to counter but if they don't accept it then hopefully we can just settle on the price and start looking for OUR new home.

As of right now, if they accept our offer then our closing date would be August 14th.

We shall see.....
