Coming Home

It was time for us to come home. We all missed daddy and really wanted to be home with him. we had a three hour lay-over in Houston so we enjoyed our time. Grandma bought some toys and other things to keep the kids busy on the plane before we left AZ. We found a place in the airport that was just a big walking area, no gates, no chairs, just a place to walk from one terminal to another with windows on both sides. It was cold because of all those windows but it was still a great place to hang out, let the kids run or do whatever they wanted without bothering too many people. Some of the toys that Grandma bought Matthew were cars. Matthew and I had lots of fun each being on opposite sides of the hallway and driving our cars to the other person. It was really fun. We also got to watch large and small planes take off. Here is a picture the kids were looking at the planes taking off, I think I counted 14 lined up at one time.

The kids did well, the last plane (25 minute ride) Allison pretty much ate M&Ms the whole way to keep her quite while Matthew was eating Chip Ahoy cookies. It was a long day and I had already gone through the fruits, healthy snacks, lunch, dinner, healthier snacks and were to the end. I was very pleased with how well they did, even if they were getting candy, but we all survived pretty well actually. We were VERY happy to see daddy, we (I am sure the kids did) but I should really say I missed him a lot so it was great being home.

Uncle Ty and Aunt Katie visit

The night before we came home Uncle Ty and Aunt Katie came over to visit us. It was so fun to see them and the kids loved seeing them.
I LOVE this sweet smile of hers.

Uncle Ty got roped into reading Matthew Stop That Ball. Matthew loved ALL the attention he got from Uncle Ty and Auntie Katie. He and Allison were acting up that night, just very hyper and excited for good reason but I still think he was way out of control.
Allison had to come over and listen to the story too.

Allison got lots of attention from Auntie Katie which she totally loved.

AZ Trip in Dec.

The kids and I went to visit Chris' parents in the beginning of December. I was pretty worried about how the kids would do on the plane. I expected Matthew to be better (like another adult and not have to ask or tell him to do anything twice) and I expected Allison to scream and she didn't so over all, they did well. We were glad to get to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
I enjoy going to Chris' parents house. They always make me feel so welcome and help out with the kids.
Friday night, my sister-in-law, Deb and I went out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner while Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids and then we came back and my other sister-in-law, Katie, had gotten off worked and met us at Grandma's house. I quickly put the kids to bed and then we went to the theater room and watched a movie and we had our own girls night in. It was fun to be with all the Thomas women.

Saturday I the kids and I went over to Deb and J's house and spent the night there. We got to go to church with them in the morning. It was really cute to see Allison and Tori wearing similar dresses and had their hair done the same. They looked like twins and I think Tori just loved it.

Matthew and Allison got to spend lots of time with Grandma and it was so nice for them, me, but maybe not so much for grandma (haha...I am sure she loved it)
