VA Weather Cancellations

Matthew was suppose to have a Pack Meeting for Cub Scouts this night and it was themed, friends around the world. We were suppose to bring a potluck dish from a foreign place and also the boys were to make a dessert from a different place. I was excited to make Egg Rolls. They take a lot of time but I was ready for it and it took me all day to do it. I also made at least 100+. (I SOME times go overboard on things....just some times) Anyways, we were all ready to laod the car and leave when I decided to check my email for something. They CANCELLED it!!! Apparently there were suppose to be some tornadoes around the area somewhere so they cancelled it. The weather was nice at our house and we don't live far away from the church. I was perturbed because VA people cancel so many things BECAUSE OF THE CHANCE OF WEATHER.

It is so frustrating!!

Anyways, we got to eat our delicious egg rolls all by ourselves:) There were a lot of them so it is a good thing that they freeze well.

Matthew's dessert was FRENCH Silk pie:)

It was also delicious

I had made the sweet & sour sauce and rice as well to accompany my egg rolls.

Drunk Driver Crashed

There was a guy that crashed into our ditch. It was about 7pm (thankfully that early) but he knocked on our back door. I opened one door but there was another door in between us. He said that he wrecked into our ditch. I asked him what he wanted me to do about it, and he asked if my husband was home.

I called Chris in his kingdom (room above detached garage) and we met outside. The guy told us he was drunk and wrecked. We tried to push him out but we couldn't. He is apparently a neighbor that was going to walk home and call a tow truck. We called the police since he is driving drunk. They found him and he denied all of it. We had to give a statement and everything. It was a good object lesson for the kids as to one of the MANY reasons why you shouldn't drink.

They got it out and he went to jail for the night. He ruined our driveway which we wanted him to pay for. Since it was a DUI we got summoned to court but it got postponed twice. Finally the third date, October 26th we went to court. He finally plead guilty and he paid us for the damage. First time we had ever had to go to a court and hopefully the last.

Video Games LIVE

My friend told me about this event that the Richmond Chorale was going to be apart of. Sort of in support of her, I decided I wanted to go. Looking into it more, I was hopeful that Chris would like it also.

Because of the weather it got postponed but we finally got to go. 

The Richmond Symphony played all these video game songs. It was really cool because I enjoyed the symphony, Chris LOVED all the music they played.

I would have been SOOOOOO sad if they didn't play Super Mario Brother's main theme because that was really the only one I knew. Once they played it, then I thought it was a great show. We definitely want to go again if they ever come back. 

Peas

This little one would NOT eat her peas so she didn't eat anything for over 48 or 72 hours (I forgot now). 

She was so weak.....

and finally succumbed to eating them.

Most of the time I love all three of these kids, though the older two, especially the eldest sure know how to push my buttons.

I asked what kind of Valentine's "Box" Matthew wanted because I wanted to be one of those "awesome" moms that make those cool valentine boxes I see on facebook and pinterest. Anyways, I came up with this.

The middle pushed down so that is where they would insert their Valentine cards.

Lil' Pumpkin Comparisons

I had this with Matthew and Allison but once Allison outgrew it, we were done and we gave all of our baby stuff away.

I gave this to our friend Allison Trousdale.

They moved away and I never thought we would ever get it back. Once we had Michelle, I was actually wishing that I had this outfit because boy or girl can be in it and it would be fun to have all three kids in the same outfit. I had just been thinking about that and then a week later, we got a package in the mail from our friend ALLISON TROUSDALE!! Lo and behold, she sent us some other cute outfits for Michelle but she also sent this one back to me. I was BEYOND excited to get it. I had no idea she still had it. It was SOOOO awesome that she did that for me.

More 6 Month Pictures

I need to have my blog updated so that when I start doing my scrapbooks again for the kids, I will know what happened in the pictures. 

Though this was almost 6 months ago, now, can't remember all the small details, which is sad.

I do know that I try to take pictures with my phone occasionally and send them to grandparents so this was one of them.

This is the only outfit that I have that ALL three kids have worn. 

I tried to take a picture when she was the same age as the other kids wearing this.

Our house is just so dark, especially compared to our last house with lots of windows.

 Michelle is teething so Chris let you chew on his finger but the picture almost makes is look like a fist hitting her.

This outfit is so cute. My friend, Allison Trousdale, sent them to me and I just LOVE this. 

Since we don't have good lighting inside I put her outside on the porch on her Grandma blanket. 

The lighting was so much better and she is just the cutest little thing there is.
