Middle School Open House & Scout Rank Badge

When we got back from our trip, it was time for open houses.

Matthew was going to middle school so we needed to find out where his classes were going to be an all of that fun stuff.

He also got his Scout rank in August.

Allison's 9th Birthday Party

Like usual, Allison wanted to have a pool party, so she invited a lot of her friends from school and they had a great time!

I decided to add Allison's name and 9 on her cake so here it is with that.

2017 MT Roadtrip - Houston Cousins

I have a cousin, Danean, that is my age and is just so much fun that moved to Houston shortly after we moved away which is really sad. It would have been soo cool to live close to her. 

I made it a point to go visit her for a little bit.

There was a hurricane, Hurricane Harvey, headed towards Houston that I thought I might need to get out of there before it hits.

We left a couple days early so that we could beat the storm.

It was so fun to visit Danean and her family though.

We were able to see the Houston Temple as we were leaving from Danean's house.

We drove half-way home, spent the night in a hotel and then drove the rest of the way home, after being gone for almost a month. I was SOOOO glad to be home and very relieved to get to be back with my honey again. I missed him a lot!

2017 MT Roadtrip - Bluebell Ice Cream Stop

On our way from Bryan to Houston, we had to stop at Blue Bell Creamery and get some fresh ice cream!

2017 MT Roadtrip - Bryan, TX Friends

We made it to Bryan, TX and stayed with our dear friend Kimberlee Miles!! 

She is just the sweetest ever.

She made these towels for the kids, just because, and on a whim.

She is just so giving.

While we were there, it was the solar eclipse. It didn't get completely dark but it was cool to have the sun pass behind the moon.

I drove the kids around to see different area.

We of course HAD to go to HEB!!!

We went to Matthew's preschool teacher, Mrs. Dockery.

I think she really liked that:)

Then we went to see Kyle field or as much as we could of it and found these statues.

Then Matthew met up with his BFF from preschool, Ka'Melo!!

Sharanda took the kids to go play games together and they just had a great time!

We had a great time in TX and got to see lots of friends.
