Michelle has started something that I am not excited about. I
told her not to do something and she got the pouty lip and then I picked her up
as she was taking her big breath to cry. We have mentioned many times how deep
of a breath she takes before she actually starts crying. But this time was
different. I was holding her as she took her deep breath and then she just fell
backwards, thankfully I caught her but she was limp. I started calling her name
and no response. She was limp over my arm as I rushed her downstairs to get to
a phone. I was calling her name and hitting her back to try to get her to
breathe. She finally came to. It was about 30 seconds to a minute that she
wasn't breathing. I almost called 911 but thankfully she came out of it. Chris
looked it up and thinks it was a held breath spell, which our awesome
pediatrician confirmed. She seems completely fine and unfazed by it
once she stopped crying when she started breathing again. Boy was I glad to
hear her crying.
As I told the kids this story Allison reminded me that this happened once before when she was with Michelle and Michelle bonked her head. Allison brought her to me and it was within seconds that she came to so I didn't think too much of it but Allison said, "mom, she was limp when I brought her to you also." She wasn't out as long that time which worries me that she is blacked-out for longer. At least we are aware of it now though.
